Exactly What I Needed
Bought these to replace my decade-old chucks and get new lifting shoes. They're everything I needed them to be!
The color is fantastic, the fit is amazing (bonus, I can pretend my feet are still "small" because they're a 7.5 while all other athletic shoes are 8.5)
Easily the most comfortable shoes I've used lifting, yet- and they give me mobility for cardio while providing grip on the weight machines where needed.

Comfortable and look great, apart from.
Love my classic white chucks apart from wearing them for the first time on vacation to the Bahamas! On the plane over and whilst wearing them there the glue sat the shell toe on both shoes has leaked onto the canvas! I now have an orange stain on both shoes, not very happy about this at all. Probably not much Converse will do about it! So if you live in or visit a humid environment be aware that this will happen.

I'm a big dude, and I'm on my feet all day for a 10 hour shift. These are great, the insole is different than the normal little strip that you usually get. The heel has some extra oomf and it helps a lot. I wish they still made them with the Lunarfoam like they did at the beginning of the rule of Nike, but alas. You won't regret these.

wide width is still narrow
First off, I love Converse. I've been wearing black canvas low tops since I was 12-- so 24 years now. My feet are not necessarily wide but shoes like Converse that run narrow can be a bit of a snug fit. For that reason I go half a size up when I purchase my Converse (regular width). This time when making my purchase I noticed there was a wide width so I thought I'd give that a try. The size guide said "this style runs large order a half size down" so I did (based on my actual shoe size). Well, this shoe fits exactly the same as the regular width pair I'm used to. I have one on each foot and can't tell the difference. Maybe I should have ignored the sizing guide advice and just purchased my actual size? The shoes also came with laces that are comically short. I can only tie the world's tiniest bow. Not the experience I was hoping for but I'll live.

Great, but runs big
These are my second pair of these. The first time I ordered my normal size and they fit great, lasted me for years!! The bottoms cracked open after several years, so my mom gifted me new ones. They look great, but despite being my normal size (6), they are at least a half size too big and rubbing up on my heels. I will try ordering a 5.5 instead. Still love these shoes!

I am very disappointed in these "new" chucks...the inside lining is just horrible and your feet will be sweating. I have no idea what this lining should be good for.
The form is not the same anymore either. It looks totally different on the front. Like cheap wanna be chucks.

Wish they were wider
For years I've worn size 7.5 but this time opted for an 8 due to the width of my foot. So far, the 8s fit pretty well. Certainly enough room in the toe box. My wish would be that Converse would produce Chucks for wider feet.

I LOVE MY LOW TOPS CHUCKS! I have tried other styles (Mary janes, high top) I can't wear them, but when I tell you low top classic chucks are my favorite, that is all I wear. I have 12 pair in several colors and that is all I will buy!

Perfect Blue!
I've loved Chucks since my high school days! I wanted a blue pair to coordinate with all of my University of Memphis clothes and these fit the bill. Foam insoles are not same in both shoes
very disappointed with the foam insoles. Long time Converse wearer. Insole in left shoe is completely flat. Right shoe has somewhat of an arch/raised insole. Strange that both shoes do not feel the same. Poor quality control. Guess I will have to throw this pair in the trash and not order online next time

Terrible quality
Pretty bummed with the quality of this shoe. I’ve previously worn my chucks for years on end but in just 4 months, the canvas has completely split from the sole and they are now not wearable. As a teacher, I’d hoped these shoes would last me all year as I don’t have the budget to replace them every 4 months. Not sure what the change in fabric/adhesive/etc is, but only getting 4 months out of a pair of shoes that once lasted years is highly disappointing.

Great but need arch support
The half size down from your normal size is pretty accurate. They are comfortable but I myself need more arch support. I bought some sticky arch pads to add under the insole and I’m crossing my fingers that they work well with the shoe. Love the Raspberry color!!

thin and lightweight - feel cheap
always wanted the red canvas chucks and finally got them but the canvas is thin and the sole and rubber is super lightweight - feels cheap. i have several converse sneaks - it’s all i wear. but this one is disappointing.

Great look, dubious quality
For about 7 years now, I have consistently liked the way black converse look as an alternative to tennis shoes all the time. I wouldn't say they're super comfortable but they are easy to walk in once you've broken them in. My issue is that a pair I bought 7 years ago lasted 5 years. Since I decided to put those aside and get a new pair, the quality is much worse. The first pair I bought lasted 6 months before it was breaking down but I forced it to stretch 10 months. The second pair followed a similar pattern but I got them to last 16 months. And I'm not super hard on them - I just walk. Occasional running across a parking lot or trudging through rain, but no mud or hard terrain. I just bought a new pair (hence the review), and we'll see how they hold up. Overall, I like converse, but I wish they maintained a better product quality. As a note on sizing, I am an 8 in Nike tennis shoes and often a 7 in dress shoes and sandals, but for Converse I'm a well-fitting 6.5.

SIZES RUN BIG
This particular style runs at least one size too big. I wear a 10.5 in all shoes/sneakers except these Converse. I ordered a size 10 after having a size 10.5 previously. The size 10 is still too large. A 9.5 would have been the right call.

Consistently Good Sneaks
As a teenager in the 70s, I worked a part-time job for $1.85/hour, give or take a few cents. So my budget was always an issue. But I would not skimp on my low-cut All-Stars. A couple of times a year, I paid a big $7.50 for a pair, and another $7.50 for a pair of new Levi's at Levinsky's clothing store in Portland Maine. More dough these days, but still reliable, still stylish.

Standard Chuck low fit. Comfortable but could benefit from inner sole inserts. Still okay w/o it. Inserts wont affect the fit, but will definitely enhance the feel. Website photos are accurate.

Big disappointment!

Great shoes, but run REALLY long
I really love the feel and look of my new red canvas tennies. I bought the wide and that part fits great, but these shoes run super long - it even says to buy a size smaller which I did, but I'd say buy 1.5 or 2 sizes smaller. I've bought two pair of the leather tennies and they fit great. I just love classic Converse styles. Thank you!

This should be a regularly available color for both the low- and high-top Chucks!
My older maroon pair were so old, they didn't have the "new" cushion sole that makes today's Chucks comfortable to wear.
On a different topic, I'm not sure how to rate the "true to size" since one is supposed to order a half-size smaller. Still not sure why Chuck Taylors are made that way!

Reliable
I wear a size 11.5 in conventional USA men's size, but the Converse men's size 10 consistently fits me. I've worn Converse for over 25 years because I have a triple-A heel, and the oxfords stay on my feet. Plus, I'm vegan, so these are consistent with my ethics.
I bought these online and needed to call Converse for assistance. Their staff are always great!
And the order arrived so quickly, exactly what I ordered, fitting just like usual. Good job, Converse!

Chuck All Star low tops
I like the chucks there not as comfortable as 76 stars or Malden. They do run on the large side so size 1/2 down. I actually wear 10.5" in other brands true to size. But I wear 9.5" mens in Converse.

These shoes feel cheap
I’ve been buying converse for 20+ years and I can say without a doubt that the build quality has gone down dramatically. The rubber feels thin and the canvas flimsy. I’ve only had them for about 3 weeks and they look like I’ve had them for a year or more. On top of that these shoes are making my feet smell. No other shoe has ever made my feet smell but these started to stink after only a few days. Don’t think I’ll be buying another pair anytime soon.

Love the wide fit!
I haven't worn Chucks in eons because the narrow bed really started to aggravate my duck feet. This wide fit is the bomb. The only issue is that of the "length". I generally wear a 9 women's, SOMETIMES an 8.5 - and ended up with a too big shoe at 8.5. The notes say they run big - I'd say REALLY big. Unfortunately it took me a while to really decide that. I ordered an 8 and it fits perfectly. I'll gift the big ones and make someone else happy. Now that I know my size, I'm excited to order some custom ones. :)

Comfortable
Was surprised that with the number of general purpose shoes I have, mostly sneakers, that these are the most comfortable. They aren’t as stiff. Although I typically wear a wide shoe, I wasn’t sure how these would fit since wide wasn’t an option. My main reason for ordering these was because it is hard to find a shoe with a true rubber sole that I would feel safe in walking on a roof or a smooth concrete floor. They aren’t as substantially constructed as my other gym shoes, so time will tell if they work for what I need.

Wide width for the win
I have always loved "chucks" but they weren't very comfortable - a little narrow through the top and would hurt my pinky toe. The solution? Wide width! I sized down a half size per instructions and they are perfect. I can't wait to order more!

Still Crazy After All These Years
I'm old enough to not even remember getting my first pair of Chucks as a kid, but after many years, many pairs, and many colors, they're still my favorites. I love how many colors are available and I love that they haven't changed. Don't fix what ain't broke, right?! My only wish is that these classics came in wide width as my feet spread with pregnancy and I now have to break them in a bit before they are as comfortable as can be.

love but need removable insole
I love these shoes: they look great with everything you could possibly want to wear and come in endless colors, especially with the custom option. Like many, I have multiple pairs. But please, please stop gluing the insoles in. I still have several pairs from a few years ago that didn't have them glued in so I can slip in my own insoles. The insoles in Chuck 70s apparently aren't glued in but I really REALLY don't like the off-white midsoles. The insoles in the latest all stars are glued in so heavily I have to take them to a cobbler to remove, and even he can't get it completely out. Please, stop gluing them in? Or give us an option in the custom build to not do it?

I used to wear my Converse all the time until I got older and my foot is just too wide. I was SO excited to see these in a wide width, but skeptical. I order so many shoes even in wide and return because they don't fit right. I received these last night and have been wearing them all day! Too large and not made for women
These are not made for a woman’s foot, and they aren’t sized right. If you are going to sell to women, create a women’s version and size them correctly. I always wear an 8.5 and your 8s were like boats on me. Very disappointed, as I really wanted to wear them this election season.

Comfortable and Versatile
Have always loved the classic canvas All Stars…have a pair of black, grays, and classic white but wanted the monochrome white for a while. I have a pair of the all white leathers which are great, but because I often like to just slap my Cons on with no socks it gets stinky easy. With the canvas Cons I have never had that problem and these monochromes didn’t disappoint. Love these sneakers and love the look!

I had a pair of 6.5 women’s chuck Taylor’s. Loved them but they were a bit narrow for my foot, so I ordered 6.5 wide. Would have been great, but they are precisely the same size as the 6.5’s I already had. Unfortunately my foot would not accept the placebo effect of adding a W to the box. How rude.

Uneven Toe Cap

I bought this pair to replace my previous pair, which lasted a good seven or eight years of regular wear. It seems that this newer pair has a bit more padding in the sole, without being too shaped, which is nice. I think the minimalist sole is a key component of Converse shoes, so I'm glad they didn't compromise that.

Different Lining Material
I've owned 3 pairs of All Stars since 2004, and to my surprise when I received my new pair and went to put them on this morning I discovered that the lining material is not a sturdy canvas like all of my old pairs. The new lining is some sort of mesh foam material. It's thicker but also flimsier and makes the shape of the shoe look totally different. If I wanted sneakers with an athletic running shoe-type lining, I would have bought running shoe-type sneakers. I used the chat customer service and was told that all All Stars have this mesh foam lining and was offered a refund if I don't like it. I'm going to have to hold off trying to buy these ever again unless they go back to the canvas lining.

Flawed
So I ordered the white monochrome in 7 and 7.5 because I was uncertain which one would fit. I’m usually a 7.5/8.
The 7.5 was a little big AND the right foot had a faint blue streak right around where the mid sole and the canvas joins. It looked almost like blue glue was used.
The 7 has a little wave on the side instead of laying flat. I decided to keep the 7 but I’m still contemplating returning it because I don’t think I can live with seeing the flaw every time I’m wearing the shoes.

You Have Ruined Chuck Taylor All Stars
These ARE NOT Classic Chuck Taylor Converse. I have been wearing Chuck Taylors for over 50 years and these are not made the same. The rubber sole is totally wrong. Definitely not an improvement. You have ruined a great shoe.

Great but sizing is wrong
Looks good and feels comfortable. I have ordered 7 for my 24,5 cm foot. As recommended, I sized down half a size from 7,5. Some people are saying they went the whole size down, did it work for me. I could still fit in 6,5 but it was very very tight.
The only thing I could not get, why it is so difficult to correct a chart and put the right sizing on it, especially given that this model has a dedicated size chart. But it’s showing 7,5 for 24,5 cm.

Love these at the gym

I used the sizing tip (measuring with your heel against the wall) to find my best fit, and these fit great. They are also very comfortable - better than my slippers, even! I've been wearing them for over a week now, and there hasn't been a "breaking in" period with blisters and pain, like there is with some shoes. I'm very pleased with them!

Cheaper canvas material

Not the shoes I grew up wearing!
I have been wearing Chuck Taylor All-Stars for over 30 years and I'm afraid to say, my days as a loyal Converse customer are over. Whatever change in their construction has been made, has made them unbearable to wear; they feel weird and don't look flattering, as the material "splays" out and makes my feet look wider than they are. Bring back the old construction!

Perfect warm weather sneakers.
I always like converse all stars for the warm weather. They are the perfect summer sneakers. The canvas feels very stiff when they are new but my old ones after 4 years the canvas is softer. They feel kinda wonky at first but I think all good sneakers have a break in time. I always go a whole size down in these, and get the wide width which is really like a regular width. I love them cause they are the only sneakers I like to wear when it’s hot out and they go with everything.

Finally a wide width!
I've exclusively worn converse for over 30 years. I have wide feet but just lived with the narrow cut of all-stars. It was time for a new pair and I was super excited to see these in wide widths. These help a lot. I wouldn't call these extra-wide, but they're definitely better than the original narrow width (I think I'd liken them to a 2E or 3E width?). Now it's time to make all styles in wide widths, Converse!

Great Price and Great Quality!
I've been buying this exact Converse shoe for over half of my life and never get tired of how they look with a pair of jeans or shorts. It's also easy to customize them with drawings and designs because of the canvas fabric and white rubber toe. While most companies increase prices and lower the quality of their products over time, Converse has remained more or less the same in price and durability as far as I can tell. When I went to buy this pair I was surprised that they were less than I expected after so long since I need to buy my last pair.

First pair after many years
This is my first pair of genuine Converse All Stars after many years. (I've been wearing knock-offs.) The half-size down recommendation is correct. One comment: These have 2 layers of canvas with a thin layer of something soft in-between. I hope that's not some kind of foam. I don't want any foam in my canvas shoes. It adds heat!

I do not agree that these run large. Chuck Taylors have always been narrow. I wore a 5.5/7.5 for years (when I could find them). Since I've been working on getting my feet back to their natural shape, I've moved away from narrow shoes but some outfits just need classic Chucks. I went with an 6/8 wide and am happy with them. My toes don't feel bunched or get hot spots on the outside of my little toe. The heels are a bit wider than I need but I'm happy with them. I tried both a 7.5 and an 8 and there really wasn't much of a size different when I compared them, so I went with the 8s.

Love them despite the tongue issue
Long time Chuck wearer. I love these shoes and they are perfect for my old lady orthotics and arch supports since they have flat bottoms. Giving four stars because the tongue is too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I compared with an older pair and the tongues weren’t always this long so I’m not sure when they thought lengthening that was necessary but I wish they’d shorten it again. I work around it by tying the laces BEHIND the tongue to keep it away from the skin but it would be cool to not have to worry about front ankle blisters. Still, I’ve been wearing these for too long to give up on them. Would buy again, I’ll just whine about the tongue when I do.

My go to, gym shoes.
These are my absolute favorite for the gym. I love the flat platform without all the wobbly foam. I do my barbell squats without shoes on, but I use these for literally everything else. They usually tend to last me several years. Best shoes for the gym.

Stiffer, less breathable
As a woman with a vast collection of chucks, it’s been a while since I purchased a new pair. The current seasonal purple is gorgeous, but I was surprised to find the canvas liner replaced with a synthetic mesh and straight up disappointed with the performance difference when I wore them. The new chucks feel stiffer overall, flex less when walking, and left my feet sweaty. In addition to the whole shoe feeling stiffer, the heel construction has also changed. The heel feels like it may be lined with a plastic insert rather than a coated canvas, which is ultimately the deal breaker. End of an era. If anyone with the power to address this is reading: please bring the original canvas construction back.

So I started a chat with customer service because shoes showed delivered while I was out of town for work and wife said she didn't get them. Perfect Converse
I marked these true to size since the size chart recommends sizing down. I usually wear a 9.5W shoe and got these in a solid 9W. They are PERFECT in every way: 1. They are the most beautiful shade of a bubblegum/hot pink. 2. They are very comfortable! 3. They have the tab that keeps the tongue of your shoe in place. You know that little piece of fabric under your laces that you weave the laces through? Why do some converse NOT have that anymore? It bothers me so much when the tongue of a high top is all the way to the side. Anyways, get these shoes. Highly recommend

They do run big - I'm a solid womens 7.5 and got a men's 5/womens 7 and they are perfect.
I got the Totally Neutral color and they are a light gray. On the monitor they looked pewter/between gray and brown, just FYI. Trying to update my wardrobe and incorporate classic styles. CHUCK JUMPED THE SHARK
I live in Chuck Taylors. They are my Number One, "go to" shoe. Like Michael Jordon, I love to "feel the floor". They are made of rubber and cotton, and as you wear them they become part of your foot. However, sadly, the new version sent to me are lined with some type of artificial, synthetic material - which will NEVER become part of my foot. So I guess I'm done. Adios Chuck!

Runs Big (Thankfully)
These are great! I was bummed that there are not many options from Converse for people with size 14 feet. I wear a 14 in (at least) Nike, Adidas, and Allbirds. However, I ordered these in a size 13 just in case and they fit perfectly. For whatever it's worth, I have skinnier feet, so that probably helps.

Not the same as before.
I have been buying these shoes for over twenty years and the quality of these shoes has declined over the last couple years. The lining is not canvas anymore, but a cheaper material. The fit has also changed. The sides are tighter around the toes.

Stitching in the back
I have always loved the way Converse look but they have always been so narrow! I don't normally need wide width shoes but the regular sizing was too narrow for me. I decided to order the wide width on these in white and I love them! They're so cute! But they do run long. I am normally a 7 or 7.5 in shoes and I ordered those sizes here (they say to size down, but I figured the 7 would fit). The 7s were comfortable but still too long so I ordered the 6.5. Length was perfect but the heels were rubbing when I tried them on and I noticed that the 6.5 had stitching in the inner back of the heel that the 7s and 7.5s didn't have. I considered contacting Converse to see if they have any 6.5s without that stitching but didn't feel like dealing with the hassle so I just kept the 7s even though they're a little long. They are really cute but I hope they are phasing out the design with the stitching on the heel! I want to order them in black too.

classic but not the same
I bought a pair of "custom" chucks. I ordered the added "comfort" insole, which really makes a difference. However, the shoe lace eyelets are huge. I could fit at least 3 pairs of laces in the hole. It looks a bit goofy and I was a bit disappointed but at least they are comfortable. They do run big. I did not size down because I didn't want to take a chance of them being too narrow in the toe area.

Classic and Comfortable
I've been wearing Converse All Stars since I played high school basketball in the 70's. It's been a long time since I've worn them since but it's nice to have them back on and as comfortable as they have ever been. Quality fail
Whoa ! And not a good whoa ! I’ve been wearing these shoes for over 2 decades ! I ordered some last year and great quality . Just received a new pair today , canvas is way thinner , the rubber feels flimsy and the brown sole is super thin !!! Is this some new lighter design ? Cause I wore these to the gym and felt every rock in the parking lot . Seriously what happened to the quality?

Almost there.
Ordered two pairs- 8 Wide and 9 Wide. I usually wear an 8.5 Wide, but Converse doesn’t seem to offer half sizes. As expected, one pair runs a bit too small and the other pair is a bit too big. Hopefully they’ll make half sizes by the time these wear out.

Very comfortable in wide but....
Love the shoes but it sucks that wide isn't available but in a couple colors. The shoes are a bit narrow and I have wide feet. I can customize a pair in whatever color I want and get wide, but then it's costing over 30% more just so I can get wider shoes. I hope someday they will either widen their shoes by default (most shoes are too narrow for people anyways) or at least provide the same color options in wide.

Fun Footwear for a Wedding
The only downside to these shoes is they are very flat, i.e., not a lot of arch support. But, they are fun (a bit long). The reason I purchased these; a niece recently got married and requested her family wear Converse shoes along with our cocktail attire. It was great. Many colors and extreme jealousy from the non-family who did not get to wear Converse!

I have the wide in size 9 women's. I'm usually a 9/ 9.5 so I went down as recommended to a size 9. They are comfortable! No need to break in. First thing I will say is that I am NOT a sneaker head. But I have 2 pair of chucks. One all white pair and this recent gray pair. They both fit different for some reason. This gray pair is a bit snug but I love the color. Another plus is that they were shipped and delivered very fast.

Great style and very comfortable
I love the classic style and they are really comfortable. I have only two minor gripes. First, a size 9 mens requires a 54” lace, and I received 48” laces with mine, barely able to tie. And second, the tongues should be secured on one side, because they roll sideways too easily.

Coming up on 2 Decades of Happiness
I've been wearing Converse for almost 20 years. I was gifted my first pair in late 2004; they've been my favorite ever since. I love them for their comfort but also the flexibility of their style. My work "uniform" is a nice blouse, black dress pants, and my Converse. If flexibility wasn't enough of a reason, given the financial challenges so many of us are facing these days, My Converse are not only budget-friendly but are super durable. On average, a pair will last me 3 - 3.5 years. Grateful for the 20 years of memories and experiences I've had with my Converse and looking forward to the next 20.

Wide Width is Better!!
My feet aren't even wide, and the wide size is SO much more comfortable than the standard width. I wore an 11 in standard width but had to size down to 10.5 in wide. They're really comfortable!

Comfortable - add inserts
I'm a 70-year-old woman who likes to be very active (and not dress like an old lady). This was my first pair of Converse sneakers and I'm happy with them. They are comfortable, and I'm glad the site said they run big as I ordered a half-size smaller than normal, which is just right. Just a note that you don't get much arch support, so if you have flat feet like me, you will want to add inserts.

Not Exact Color
The only thing I didn’t like about my shoes, the color. They should look into changing the charcoal color to actual charcoal, dark grey. I ordered the charcoal color, look more like olive greenish charcoal. I don’t completely like the shoes but at the same time, they’re not that bad so I’m gonna keep it. I suggest changing the name charcoal into something else.

Surprised how comfortable they are
I have all star hi-top size 7 (I’m normally 6.5 and wide feet) since there are a wide option I went with 6.5 wide and they fit just perfect! I ordered Chuck Taylor 70 too, since I heard it’s more comfortable because of its cushioning, to compare but surprisingly I decided to return CT70 since they are heavy and I wanted something I can wear to run errands yet casual and stylish. All Star has decent cushioning and much lighter to wear on daily bases. It rubs around my ankle a little bit but I hope it’s still breaking in period. Since it’s surprisingly comfortable, I’ve ordered some pairs for my kids too.

They do run big, I wear an 8 regular, and I followed the instructions and ordered 7.5. I wore these all day and only started to get a rub mark late evening. I had been concerned about the smaller size and wearing them all day....I didn't blister, so, for the length of time I wore them, the fit was perfect.

Nice casual tennis shoe. These run long - really long! And very narrow!!! I normally take a 6.5 - 7, I bought a 6 which is still longer than I need. They also run very narrow. My foot is a D width, so somewhat wide but not crazy wide - these are quite narrow for me, even with all the extra space in front of my foot. But they look good and are comfortable.

I wasn’t a fan of paying the 60 dollar price tag (I normally buy these for 39.99 on a military base), however I needed a wide. I’ve worn size 10 in chucks for years (I wear an 11.5 in Nike) and they were always making my feet cramp by the end of the day. I went to an outlet to try on 10.5, and those were too long. So I made the decision to purchase at 60. At the outlet I also noticed that all classic All Stars had a new liner on the inside, not just canvas. It seems like a softer cotton was stitched on the inside. It also feels more comfy when slipped on. So I was a fan of my black pair, just not the white pair. I was majorly disappointed when the white all star arrived without a liner. I don’t understand why that is, considering as I mentioned, all the All Stars at the Converse outlet have the new liner. I feel a little ripped off.

THE retro stylish zero-rise shoe
I love the feel of these shoes. My feet are able to flex and my toes spread out. These shoes are my gym shoes. They work for all of the things I want to do including running on the treadmill. In addition to being comfortable, they look great. Why wear boring gym shoes when you can wear the classic design of Converse with a splash of color?

New nylon mesh lining is not great
I've been wearing classic Chucks for 20+ years and have always been a big fan, but this new liner--which is not mentioned anywhere--is a dealbreaker. If you're going to say you have a canvas upper, have a canvas upper. If you're going to have it lined with a fine nylon mesh, say that. It feels cheap and I hate the way it makes my foot slide around. Otherwise the shoe is fine. Much lighter weight, which the quality of is TBD, but I am not holding out hope for the same level of durability.

I’m impressed with how comfortable these are. The last pair I had a decade ago was flat and hard, not fit for old feet. These are great, almost a half size too big unfortunately. But otherwise I dig them.

All Star Classic
I needed a wide and it only comes in the All Star line. The fit was still a little narrow but the quality of Converse is cheapened by this line. Converse once represented quality and performance that even the Pros desired but needed.

Perfect fit size down
I normally wear size 7 WIDE shoes so I bought the 6.5 wide size as recommended. And they are an absolute perfect fit. My toes do not feel squished at all and the wide fit is perfect. Overall, this is a very cute and comfortable shoe!

I am usually a size 9 Wide in women's shoes. I was so excited to see that converse actually has wide sizes. I purchased the 9Wide and let me tell you, these are definitely NOT wide. The fit was so tight that I could barely get them on.

Not all canvas—synthetic lining!!
I have purchased so many pairs of Chuck Taylors over the years—for myself and as presents—that I was SO disappointed and surprised to find that the canvas in this pair has synthetic lining. Because of this slightly puffy synthetic lining the canvas doesn’t mold to your foot and they are uncomfortably warm. There’s nothing in the description that indicates this. Beware if you loved the classic canvas because this is not it. RIP original Chuck Taylor.

Look out for wider sizes
You need to add material to the heal surround to, when making wider sizes. As the fit goes for now, it is like wearing clogs. Like a slide flip flop. Please address this in the future. Did I mention my great dislike of clogs?

Comfortable and actually a wide fit
I bought the wide version of these shoes and I was very skeptical that it was wide. I am happy to say that they actually are wide! As someone with wide feet I always struggle finding shoes. I risked it all buying these shoes because I wore them 2-3 times before I decided to wear them to Universal Studios and wow they didn't hurt my feet at all. I was go, go, go all day from 9am to 7:30pm. I highly recommend. Super comfortable.

I went with the wide on these, because I have WW/D width feet, and when I tried the regular width shoes they were pinching across the top and in the toe. The wides are perfect! One note: if you normally wear a wide shoe in other brands, go down a half-size from your regular size to get the right fit here.

The sizing down instructions were actually right (normally a women's 7.5, got them in a 7 per the sizing suggestions. I wasn't expecting them to be so cushy, but maybe that's because I've been buying second hand Converse for a few years! I use these for Olympic lifting and general wear. Don't Waste Your Money
After about 2 months of light wear mostly indoors, the bottom sole and side are not staying together. The sole also feels extremely thin and are very obviously poor quality. I was so excited to have my first pair of converse but will absolutely not be purchasing them ever again.

Dont get the white ones
I got the all-white Converse but they look cheap/fake since they didn't get the cloth white to match the rubber white part. The cloth part is like a yellowish tint and white might look a little red. This is very subtle and might even be hard to capture on camera but pretty noticeable on a sunny day.

Cute but hard to maintain
I had to reorder these Converses a half size down because they were a little too big on the ankle part of my foot. There was lots of room at the ankle part. I love Converses but these I find get stained easily at the front white part of the sneaker so I keep having to wipe them down which is annoying. They are cute and comfortable if you order a half size down but definitely get stained easily depending on where you are walking. Overall, I recommend wearing these sneakers for short periods while outside and avoid wearing them all day long outdoors or else they are bound to get dirty and stained.

Good Looking Chucks!
These are great looking and fitting shoes. Have more support than I remembered them having. Reason I gave 3 stars was that there was a green ink stain right on the toe cap that matched the same green color of the shoes. I called customer service to see about an exchange but they said I had to return abd reorder. I decided to try to get the stain out myself and after some elbow grease and a couple of different products, was able to get the majority of it out enough to keep so I didn’t have to wait to mail back and wait for another to be shipped. Otherwise I was pleased. Not very good quality control on shoes going out.

I cried when I tried these on for the first time. I've always been a huge fan of converse because I love how they look, but as someone with wide feet, I used to have to size up and I have always endured a painful and long breaking in process. I loved how they looked, but they were always too long for my feet to make up for the width. I was hopeful when I saw that Converse sells wide width shoes now, but these SURPASSED my expectations! Never in my life did I think I would be able to try on a pair of converse straight out of the box and have them fit my foot like a glove. I felt like Cinderella! These are my new favorite shoes and I plan to buy them in a handful of colors. I hope that Converse expands their wide width range in the future, because I have always dreamed of a pair of platform converse and to have wide width ones that fit my feet would be a miracle!

Classic chucks

Great Shoes

Never get rid of this new mesh lining!!
I just wanted to say - NEVER GET RID OF THE NEW LINING you have put into Converse Chuck Taylors!!
I am speaking of this "mesh" lining that now line the inside of the shoes, compared to the extremely uncomfortable canvas lining that these shoes used to have.
Thanks to these shoes with this new mesh lining, these are literally now my everyday shoes. With the old hard coarse canvas lining, my feet would hurt after one day of wearing them, and I'd have to literally take a "Converse break" for a few days to let my feet heal.
Now with these mesh linings in the Chuck Taylors - they are actually padded, comfortable, and they are a true pleasure to wear. Literally all I wear now are Chuck Taylors every single day, thanks to this minor change, but it's made all the difference in the shoes' comfort.
NEVER GET RID OF THE MESH LINING!! KEEP IT FOR ALL CHUCK TAYLORS FOREVER!

They need more arch support. The style is classic and cute but could be more comfortable. I did follow their advice to size down and that was the correct fit.
The style is classic and super cute. I have high arches and they would be more comfortable if they had more support. They seem more lightweight than ones I have had for years. I did size down per their instructions and they fit well.

Disappointed…
I have been wearing converse as a teenager; they are my go-to shoes. I bought a pair a couple of years ago that began to fall apart due to constant wear. I decided to buy a replacement pair, but noticed that they were made out of different material, the fit was much larger/looser, and the overall feel of the shoe felt cheap. The lining of the shoe is different and I much prefer how they were made before.

Best shoe always and forever
Finding the wide option is amazing my 11 year old daughter wears a size 9.5 in woman! Wow I know but the only size that comfortably fit her was 2 sizes too big. So I tried the wide in her Actual size for her just perfectly. Also major plus her feet don’t actually look that big in the shoe since it’s beautifully made. I remember the first time I purchased my bed first pair of converse they changed my life forever. As a plus size woman with big feet it was a struggle to find a shoe that looks great and fit comfortably. Converse does just that. I’m glad my daughters love them just as much as I!

I've been wearing Converse All Stars for some 60 years. I wear them for everything, including my daughter's wedding. They wear well and when I do need to replace them, I recycle them as work sneakers, keeping a couple of pairs till totally shot and then, only then, throw that spent pair away. Wide Chucks
I've been wearing Converse All Stars for years and having wide feet I've had to purchase a size up and even still they were a bit narrow for me and would eventually always blow out the side of the shoe after some time.
I just bought my first pair of chucks in my size, wide width and I absolutely love them! They fit perfect and are much more comfortable for me than the standard width version. If you have wide feet, you can't go wrong with the wide chucks.

Wide width is a must for me.
Go 1/2 size smaller than your normal shoe size. And I have to have the wide width. I wish they made more styles in wide width like they do all stars. Maybe 70s? Please? Even if custom only.

Personally, I am not a fan of converse. The last pair of Chuck Taylor's I wore was in 1971. But these shoes were a Christmas gift for my son who is a fan of converse. He told me the shoes fit perfect and is happy with his new converse.

WIDE WIDTH

The Color Red is GOOD!

MY ONLY SHOE
Used to wear All Stars many years ago, but my toes would hurt due to the shoe being too narrow. The wide version fits perfect!! The only shoe I'll ever wear for all occasions, especially powerlifting. Just wish some of the other colors were available in wide. Black, red, and white are the only options.

Better than expected
I love them. This is my first pair of Converse. I was always afraid they would make my feet look too long, like clown feet, but they don’t! The pink is actually a neon pink. I wasn’t expecting them to be so bright but I love them anyway.

These are my favorite go-to sneaks. When the old pairs die, I simply replace them. Sizing is good. White pair ran a tad larger than the navy pair, even though they’re both the same size. Isn’t enough of a difference to exchange them. Love my Chucks!

Insole support and Replacement
Would like more more interior foot support insole too flat with little arch support. The insole could be made removable which would allow the option to replace the insole with a custom purchased insole. Seeing how your current insole’s are not removable (glued) I can not put a custom support

Size down and motivate
I normally wear a size 10.5-11 running shoe, I bought a size 9 chuck and they were still big Ainu sizes down to an 8 and they fit perfect! Such a great shoe, I mainly use them for weight training and kettlebell exercises and they make me feel more motivated to do my workout! Good work converse!

Classic Kicks
CT's are my go-to. Love these shoes but I do find the sizing has changed. I always buy a mens 5/ womens 7 and have a perfect fit. This time, I'm swimming in them. I'm keeping because I'm sure they will shrink just enough after they've been washed. They're a classic and look great with anything.
